Polyester filter or cellulose filter : what's the difference ?
France Aspiration offers two types of filters. One is made of polyester, and the second is made of cellulose.
The polyester filters are very practical and cost-effective as they can be washed. They are compatible with central vacuum systems from brands like Général d’Aspiration, Husky, Aertecnica, Aspibox, Aldes, Easy Clean, Airflow, Domus, and others. On the other hand, cellulose filters are disposable and cannot be washed. Therefore, it is crucial to know the type of filter you are using before attempting to clean it.
At France Aspiration, you can also find our range of pre-filters. A pre-filter helps capture fine dust particles and protects the main filter. They can be hand-washed and reused.
How to maintain the filter of my central vacuum system ?
It is important to regularly maintain the filter of your central vacuum system. A poorly maintained and clogged filter can cause the motor to overheat, resulting in a decrease in suction power. The filter should be maintained 3 to 4 times a year. However, it is still advisable to replace it every approximately 3 years or as soon as it is damaged.
