What is the Retraflex system?
The Retraflex system allows for storing the hose directly in the PVC piping. The hose retracts into the wall using the suction power of the central unit. This eliminates the need to store the hose after each use or move it from one inlet to another. In fact, behind each inlet is a hidden hose.
Using it is very simple : just open the inlet, pull out the desired length of the hose, and then pull the cover to lock the hose in place and activate the central unit.
Once cleaning is complete, simply push the cover back, place a hand in front of the hose nozzle to guide it back into the PVC pipe. This way, your hose is easily accessible whenever you need it.
What are the advantages of Retraflex?
The Retraflex system is both simple, efficient, and fast. Hidden within the PVC pipe, the hose automatically retracts thanks to the suction power of the central unit. To use it, simply pull on the hose and select the desired length. Moreover, a hose can be found behind each suction inlet, eliminating the need to plug and unplug the hose.
How to install a Retraflex system ?
The installation of a Retraflex system differs from the installation of a traditional central vacuum system. The configuration of the PVC piping needs to be designed with wide angles to facilitate the retraction of the flexible hose in the conduit without it getting stuck. For homes already equipped with a traditional central vacuum system, converting it into a Retraflex system would require changing the entire PVC piping network as well as the wall inlets.
